About the Job:
Our client is a well known financial service company is looking for a Senior Manager - Data Scientist to join their Data Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible lead a team of data scientists, responsible for driving the company’s Data initiatives including AI and machine learning. You will work closely with business stakeholders to identify high-impact use cases, develop innovative data-powered solutions, and scale successful pilots into enterprise-wide deployments. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the data science strategy, building a world-class data science team, and delivering tangible business value through the application of advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the data science strategy to support the company’s business objectives and digital transformation initiatives
- Recruit, lead, and mentor a talented team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and business analysts
- Collaborate with business partners to understand their challenges and translate them into actionable data science projects
- Oversee the end-to-end data science lifecycle, including data sourcing, feature engineering, model development, testing, and deployment
- Ensure the scalability, robustness, and responsible use of AI/ML models through sound governance and controls
- Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning within the data science team
- Communicate data science insights and recommendations to executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science, and identify opportunities to apply emerging technologies
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., computer science, statistics, operations research, or a related discipline)
- Proven track record of leading successful data science initiatives in a financial services or technology-driven environment
- Extensive experience in building and managing high-performing data science teams
- Deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and other advanced analytics techniques
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and other data science tools and frameworks
- Experience in deploying AI/ML models in production environment
