Project Manager (Financial Services Industry)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team in the financial services industry. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior management to drive the successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities:

• Initiate, plan, and execute projects in alignment with business objectives, ensuring project scope, goals, and deliverables are clearly defined.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budgeting, and regularly monitor and communicate project progress.
• Provide strategic guidance to project teams, fostering cross-departmental collaboration between Finance, Tax, Legal, and other key stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively implementing mitigation strategies to minimize potential obstacles.
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, resources, and support needed for project execution.
• Monitor and control project scope, schedule, and budget, making necessary adjustments as required throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across project teams and stakeholders, ensuring everyone remains informed and engaged.
• Conduct regular project status meetings, providing project updates, resolving issues, and managing expectations.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned, areas for improvement, and best practices to enhance future project delivery.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the financial services industry to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.

Requirements:

• University graduate in Business Administration, Finance, Management Information System, Computer Science or related discipline is preferred
• A minimum of 3-5 years of substantial experience as a Project Manager, leading medium to large projects and managing diverse teams.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience working with Product Delivery, Investment Management, Investment Operations, legal, compliance, and Client Services.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the financial services industry, with a successful track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, and the ability to apply them effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of financial products, markets, regulatory requirements, and industry practices is highly desirable.
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Relevant Agile / Scrum certification preferred.
