As the Head of Investment Strategist in a Leading Chinese Bank, your key responsibility will be to:
- Conduct in-depth research on global macroeconomies, including but not limited to FX, equities, fixed income and commodities markets, utilizing economic analysis and quantitative methods to uncover trends and investment opportunities.
- Provide comprehensive analysis on regional economic developments, integrating global perspectives to formulate a cohesive narrative for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues across various divisions and international locations to enhance research quality and expand analytical viewpoints.
- Oversee the establishment of the house view and asset allocation strategies for all business lines in Hong Kong.
- Present research insights confidently to clients in individual meetings and seminars, ensuring clear and impactful communication.
- Evaluate the relevance of the bank's investment product offerings based on current market practices and evolving investment themes.
- Manage the creation and distribution of research publications, delivering timely investment outlooks and strategies to support client advisory services.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or a related field. MBA or other relevant certifications (such as CFA, CPWP, CFP) are a plus.
- Minimum 15 years of research, analyst or asset management experience in leading banks or financial institutions, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Deep knowledge of global and local markets of different asset classes and investment products
- Familiar with China's economy and policies
- Excellent and persuasive writing and presentation skills
- Competent in public presentation and conduct briefing to frontlines
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese) and English
- Self-motivated with strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- A critical thinker willing to challenge mainstream views
