Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development director to drive and expand the Family Office (FO) business. This pivotal role will refine and enhance our FO strategy, leveraging the success and insights gained from our ongoing initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with high-net-worth key business partners including brokers, SFOs/MFOs, external asset managers, and wealth managers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Relationship Building: Forge strong connections with SFOs, Multi-Family Offices (MFOs), External Asset Managers (EAMs), and ecosystem partners across Asia and the Middle East. Facilitate introductions to strategic/UHNW brokers.
• Education & Advocacy: Elevate awareness and strengthen our brand as a UHNW/FO-preferred insurer through educational and networking events in collaboration with organizations like Campden, HUBBIS, Wealth Briefing, and Quorum. Highlight the importance of HNW insurance in intergenerational wealth transfer and legacy planning.
• Partnership Development: Identify and negotiate partnerships with EAMs, regardless of their existing insurance brokerage licenses, to extend our reach to UHNWIs and FOs.
• Market Insights: Gather and analyze market feedback to understand the insurance needs and complex case structures of FOs. Synthesize and relay these insights to the EODB committee for internal assessment and approval.
• Strategic Refinement: Continuously refine our FO strategy by gathering market and competitor intelligence, adopting a test-and-learn approach to capitalize on FO opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Arts or Science from a recognized university.
• Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience in HNW and Ultra HNW Sales and Wealth Structuring.
• Expertise: Proven business connections track record in family office and EAM
Strategic thinking with high agility.
Exceptional relationship-building skills with partners.
Outstanding communication skills in both spoken and written English. Proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus.
Excellent presentation skills and a strong client focus mindset.
