Position Overview: This role is essential in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organization. This role involves leading a team in preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with local and international standards like IFRS, and supervising the annual audit process.
The manager will provide strategic financial analysis to support senior management in decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function. The ideal candidate will have extensive finance and accounting experience, strong leadership skills, and a solid understanding of regulatory requirements, with proficiency in both Mandarin and English for effective communication across teams.
 
Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership: Manage and lead the finance accounting and group reporting team to ensure effective operations and the timely delivery of all financial reports.
2. Financial Review: Evaluate financial statements and related reports for accuracy and compliance with both local and international accounting standards, including IFRS.
3. Audit Management: Oversee the annual audit process, collaborating closely with external auditors to ensure a seamless process and adherence to compliance standards.
4. Policy and Process Optimization: Create and refine financial policies and operational procedures to improve efficiency and maintain compliance within financial management.
5. Strategic Analysis: Deliver comprehensive financial analyses and strategic insights to senior management, aiding in financial decision-making and business growth.
6. Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead efforts to enhance the finance accounting function, focusing on operational efficiency through process improvements and technological advancements.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments to ensure financial operations align with business objectives and contribute to overall organizational goals.
8. Tax Compliance Oversight: Manage tax compliance activities, ensuring all tax filings are completed accurately and on time while effectively mitigating tax risks.
9. General Ledger Oversight: Assume full responsibility for managing the general ledger, ensuring accurate account reconciliations and consistency in financial records.

Qualifications:

1. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting, or a related field. CPA or equivalent professional qualifications are preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of 7 years in finance accounting and reporting, with at least 3 years in a team leadership role demonstrating strong management abilities.
3. Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting regulations, along with familiarity with global financial compliance requirements.
4. Analytical Skills: Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills, capable of conducting detailed analyses of complex financial matters and recommending effective solutions.
5. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performance teams through effective mentorship and management.
6. Communication Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for efficient collaboration with cross-departmental and international teams.
7. Language Proficiency: Fluent in both Mandarin and English, with strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
