Job description

Our client is one of the well-known 3PL with providing extensive freight forwarding and supply chain solutions.
The company focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and delivering value to its clients through innovative logistics solutions and a commitment to customer service, with a network of offices and partners worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing key accounts, developing business strategies, and enhancing customer relationships in the 3PL industry.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to expand the company's market share in the 3PL sector. Identify new business opportunities, potential clients, and emerging trends in the logistics industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Engage in high - level negotiations to secure new contracts and business partnerships, ensuring alignment with the company's growth objectives.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead in the market. Use insights to develop unique value propositions and differentiate the company's 3PL services.
  • Thoroughly assess customer needs and customize the company's services to offer bespoke solutions. Work hand - in - hand with finance and operations teams to refine pricing strategies and boost profit margins.
  • Unearth cross - selling and upselling prospects within the existing portfolio of key accounts.
  • Take the helm in leading and mentoring the business development and account management teams. Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics for comprehensive team assessment.
  • Cultivate a customer - centric ethos across the entire organization.
  • Carry out in - depth market research to stay well - informed about the latest industry trends and developments.
  • Keep a close eye on competitor activities and adjust strategies proactively as required.
  • Pinpoint market voids and formulate distinctive selling propositions.
  • Compile and present detailed business development reports to senior management.
  • Offer valuable insights and actionable recommendations to optimize business strategies.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication with stakeholders regarding project progress, challenges faced, and potential opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent level of work experience is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 7 years of management experience within a freight forwarding setting, with demonstrated responsibility for Profit and Loss (P&L).
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement initiatives, P&L management, facilities management, and security is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service acumen is a must, along with the capability to efficiently identify and resolve operational challenges.
  • Proven expertise in project management methodologies, with a particular emphasis on solution management and strategic planning to accomplish organizational objectives.
