About The Role
The Head of Data will be responsible for overseeing, transforming and simplifying operations through a governed, structured and reliable data foundation across the company to enable Data and Analytics and AI solutions. This leader will oversee a team to optimize operations, build new monetization capabilities, maximize performance across the organization, and support leadership business decisions. The central data team serves as company’s single source of truth for analytics and leverages a mesh data model to enable analytics as the edge.
In this role, you will be supporting the business roadmap for analytics scalability and AI/ML models. The primary focus of this role is to lead the development and implementation of AI-powered data platform initiatives, while ensuring that the data is accurate, meaningful, and secure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop actionable plans to achieve the strategic objectives ensuring alignment with business leaders and standard.
- Define and execute the company’s data strategy, establishing a roadmap for data management, governance, and data-driven decision-making
- Foster a data-driven culture within the organization by promoting data literacy, empowering data stewards, and championing the use of data-driven insights
- Formulate effective strategies for data acquisition, storage, processing, and consumption.
- Lead multiple data scientists and data engineering teams, including resource levelling, mentoring and enhancing and maintaining best-of-class development across multiple teams in APAC locations.
- Build partnerships with BU and technology leaders to establish a validated quarterly capacity/demand plant that enables the delivery of product roadmaps and technology investments
- Perform on-going maintenance schedules and cleansing of data warehouses and access data movement processes
- Manage the Data Platform teams in delivery of full operational ML/AI Ops excellence. Manage and enforce Git Standards.
- Develop and enforce IT standards, procedures, policies, access controls and ITIL. Help to define and build an industry-leading ML ops tech stack.
- Lead the delivery of enterprise knowledge graph platform demonstrating pioneering techniques in NLP, machine learning and other relevant AI technologies to provide innovative, scalable and high quality products and services.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of enterprise AI, visualization, and knowledge insights platforms and solutions that enable data-driven decision-making and empower employees across the organization to access, discover, and apply information more effectively.
- Represent the company in industry forums and stay abreast of emerging data trends and technologies to continually enhance the company’s data capabilities
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; Master's degree and related certifications desirable.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in data management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful data strategies and governance frameworks in a complex, enterprise-level environment
- Expertise in data management standard methodologies such as data ingestion, data integration, data security data warehousing, data analytics, metadata management and data quality.
- Extensive knowledge of data management best practices, data architecture patterns, and data-related technologies and tools
- Proficient in data modeling, data integration, and data quality management
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing integrated roadmaps for cloud platforms
- Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Proven success navigating large corporate environments, leveraging matrixed resources, delivery services and platforms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language
- Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating cross-functional teams
- Passion for data and a commitment to driving data-driven decision-making
