Job description

My client, an expanding capital markets and investment group in the region is looking for an IT Manager, aiming to develop business related to the Chinese market on the company's business needs.

The responsibilities
  • Manage information technology and computer systems
  • Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
  • Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures
  • Creating and updating IT policies and procedures based on industry best practices.
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
  • Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance
  • Develop and maintain robust security measures to protect the company's computer networks from unauthorized access, staying informed of the latest cybersecurity threats.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, assisting them with the use of computer applications or hardware products, and resolving any technical issues.                      
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
  • Audit systems and assess their outcomes
  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures
  • Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
  • Communicate effectively with the Compliance, Accounting, and Trading teams to streamline the trading workflow.
The Requirements
  • Degree in IT / Computer Engineering or relevant with at least 6 years of work experience.
  • Proven expereince monitoring and supporting IT aspects related to HKEX businesses, such as CCASS, DCASS, Fidessa or EasyWay-Euroclear
  • Proven experience in managing vendors and stakeholders.
  • Candidates with prior experience in software development is preferred.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English. Ability to communicate in Mandarin and Cantonese would be an advantage.
  • Communicate effectively with the Compliance, Accounting, and Trading teams to streamline the trading workflow.
