Payroll Officer (1 year contract, renewable)


About the company: 
Our client is a Fortune 500 MNC and a leader in its industry. They are seeking a C&B professional to support the operations of their Quarry Bay office. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in C&B including payroll calculation and experienced in using HRIS to support the daily operation, this role sits in a team of 5 and directly report to the C&B Manager. 


Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the Payroll Specialist team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to the Payroll Specialists to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Stay informed about the latest payroll-related laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive payroll policies and procedures to ensure strict compliance.
  • Review and approve payroll transactions to verify accuracy and adherence to legal requirements.
  • Manage the organization's response to audits and legal inquiries related to payroll.
  • Work closely with the HR and Finance teams to streamline payroll-related processes and data exchange.
  • Coordinate with external payroll service providers and vendors to optimize payroll operations.
  • Oversee the analysis of payroll-related data, including trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide insightful reports and recommendations to management to enhance payroll processes and reduce errors.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation, cost savings, and operational efficiency.
  • Continuously review and update payroll policies and procedures to reflect changes in laws, regulations, and best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a payroll specialist or supervisory role
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practicesProficient in SAP, IPL, Unit4 payroll software.
