QA Engineer - Financial Services

Our client is seeking for a QA Engineer, in this role, you will be involved in an innovative and exciting project focused on mobile and web applications, responsible for conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the products meet business requirements and provide a high-quality user experience. 

Responsibilities:

• evelop and execute comprehensive User Acceptance Testing plans, including test cases, scripts, and scenarios based on business requirements and user stories.
• Create and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, defect reports, and test summary reports to ensure thorough coverage and traceability.
• Manage the coordination of business testing with local teams for updates to digital channels, including mobile applications and websites.
• Oversee testing tasks for specific projects, track progress, and escalate issues as necessary.
• Engage in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle  and provide analysis and recommendations on business requirements.
• Review and analyze functional specifications and design layouts to identify required testing conditions.
• Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) exercises.Participate in post-implementation reviews and contribute to process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of UAT activities.
• Prepare data conversion plans, test plans, test cases, test reports, user operation manuals, and training materials.
• Plan and implement test automation to enhance testing efficiency.
• Perform production support tasks for the core system.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with at least 4 years of experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) within Banking, Financial Services, or regional projects.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple development teams across different locations.
• Strong capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while balancing responsibilities in various areas.
• In-depth understanding of technology and the internet, including browsers, operating systems, and devices.
• Strong decision-making skills to evaluate the significance of defects discovered during testing, considering their impact.
• Proficient in English and Cantonese, with a preference for candidates who can respond on short notice.
