This Client is one of the largest blockchain development companies in the world building out household name applications across finance, DeFi, NFT’s and general Blockchain SaaS solutions. Most of their employees operate fully remotely and we are looking for Technical Director within the Crypto trading team. The Crypto Trading team’s mission is to design, build, and maintain services that power and accelerate our crypto products, platforms, and operations, with the goal of building the world’s best crypto trading platform.
The Technical Director is a mission-critical position responsible for guiding and inspiring a team of architects in the design, development and test process across all products related to the company. The ideal candidate will possess an excellent web3 background in technology implementation, strategy, team leadership, project management, fundamental technical knowledge, and the ability to effectively communicate across functional teams. This position is remote base opening which is a collaborative environment that encourages input and involvement from all levels of the team.

Responsibilities and Functions:
- Support the CTO in crafting and implementing the company's technical strategy, ensuring it aligns with strategic goals and long-term plans.
- Lead the technical team, handling recruitment, training, performance management, and motivation to achieve optimal performance.
- Guide product development to ensure technical quality, innovation, and timely delivery.
- Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of the technical platform, managing associated risks.
- Collaborate closely with departments like product management, sales, and customer support to ensure technical support aligns with business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of technical management experience, spanning operations, security, and development, with experience managing two or more teams, and over 3 years in trading system project management.
- Global perspective and cross-cultural communication skills, able to manage and coordinate teams across various locations, with proficiency in English.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and strategic thinking, with the ability to develop long-term strategies in a dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, capable of motivating and driving the team towards common goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
- Proficient in architectural design and specific problem-solving, able to assist the team with specific challenges when needed.
